Job Description:

To be the best partner to Eye Care Professionals, we aim to continue improving the customer centricity by driving the outside-in thinking through providing data-driven insights and trends. Therefore, we want to expand our Global Market Research & Insights team to even stronger support and drive the business.

This role is intended for a professional Market Research Manager with minimum 10 years’ experience. This role reports to, and supports, the Head of Market Research & Insights of HOYA Vision Care’s Global Marketing Organization. The successful candidate will manage and support the research-related requirements for the Global Marketing team such as the preparation and implementation of international research projects like e. g. customer satisfaction surveys, consumer usage & attitude surveys and testing of concepts. The role encompasses the responsibility for the full global market, category and channel assessment and insights generation by providing profound data analysis and research. To succeed in this role, the candidate must have experience with all aspects of qualitative and quantitative market research, including study design, analysis, and reporting.

Main responsibilities:

• Implement and manage global research projects

• Development of research designs and survey documents

• Brief and manage market research agencies

• Analyze and interpret survey results and prepare them for the various internal stakeholders in
  the company, e. g. Marketing, PR, Product & Category Management, Sales, Management

• Analysis of the existing product categories to map their size and competitive situation

• Help identify category, shopper and channel insights and trends to create foresight

• Work closely with our 20+ subsidiaries and functions to understand market and category


Position requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in Economics or Marketing

• At least 5 years relevant work experience in a market research role, work experience in an
  international environment is a plus – healthcare industry is highly preferred

• Experience with all aspects of qualitative and quantitative market research, including study
  design, presenting, analysis, and reporting.

• Profound analytical skills, organized and methodical

• Strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint and database application skills

• The candidate must be open to multinational and intercultural environment

• Highly motivated, results oriented and enthusiastic team player with ability to work at a high
  level of independency

• Precise written and verbal communication with proficiency in English

• Flexibility to travel when necessary

• Location: Amsterdam (NL) or Mönchengladbach (DE) preferred, other EU locations possible
